Academic Calendar for 2009-10

Annual Pattern : B.Sc. Biotechnology

• The annual pattern (B.Sc.) begins on July 1. There is a one month holiday for Diwali and 7 days during Christmas. However, kindly note that the School only closes for 10 days during Diwali and 7 days during Christmas.

• The practical examinations are held beginning from the 2nd week of February.

• The theory examinations begin from the 2nd week of March (B. Sc. I and III) and 2nd week of April (B.Sc.II)
   

Annual Pattern : M.Sc. Biochemistry

• The annual pattern (M.Sc.) begins on July 1. There is a one month holiday for Diwali and 7 days during Christmas. However, kindly note that the School only closes for 10 days during Diwali and 7 days during Christmas.

• The practical examinations are held beginning from the 2nd week of February.

• The theory examinations begin around March and or early April (M. Sc. I and II)

Semester Pattern : M.Sc. Biotechnology

• First term from July 1, 2009 (Semester I and III). Exams will be conducted in the 3rd or 4th week of December. Kindly note that the session may begin earlier this year owing to expected early declaration of results of B. Sc. Final.

• Practical examination in the 1st week of January 2009.

• Second term from February 1, 2010 (Semester II and IV). Exams will be conducted in the 3rd and 4th week of June.

• Practical examination in the 1st week of July 2010.

The above is the calendar for this academic session. However, you can safely assume that approximately the same calendar is followed year after year. The actual dates will, of course, vary. But not by a huge margin. Thus those desirous of taking admissions should watch this space around the month of May/June for B.Sc. Admissions and during the month of June/July for M.Sc. Admissions.
