Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology : 

You need to have passed HSSC with or without mathematics as a subject. It is our experience that students possessing less than a first class at the 12th level find it difficult to secure admission.
Students who have passed 12th from states other than Maharashtra or through CBSE, need to obtain an eligibility certificate from the RTM Nagpur University. This certificate can be obtained by depositing Rs. 100/- along with an attested photocopy of the 12th marksheet to the University. Eligibility certificate is not compulsory at the time of application.

Master’s Degree in Biotechnology : 

You need to have passed your Bachelor's degree under the 10+2+3 pattern. Biotechnology as a subject at B. Sc. level is not necessary for admission to M. Sc. Biotechnology. You may have pursued bachelor's degree course with chemistry, botany and zoology, or with biochemistry, or with microbiology, or with environmental sciences, or with industrial chemistry, or with physics, chemistry, mathematics, or statistics, or computer science, and you will still be eligible for admission to M. Sc. Biotechnology. Candidates with bachelor's degree in agriculture or veterinary or fishery sciences or four years pharmacy/Engineering/Technology/ B. S. (physician assistant course) or medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S. are also eligible for admission to M. Sc. Biotechnology.
Candidates must have pursued their bachelor's degree education in either RTM Nagpur University or any other statutory University. Applicants must have obtained at least 55% marks at the bachelor's level. Students having less than 55% marks need not apply.

Master’s Degree in Biochemistry : 

You need to have passed your Bachelor's degree under the 10+2+3 pattern. Biochemistry as a subject at the B. Sc. level is absolutely essential.
Candidates must have pursued their bachelor's degree education in either RTM Nagpur University or any other statutory University.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Bachelor’s Degree Course : 
You will either have to buy a prospectus and fill the form attached therein or you can print out the form from this website Application Form and fill it (in the latter case, you will have to attach a demand draft of Rs. 200/- drawn in favor of Hislop Education Society, payable at Nagpur equal to the value of the prospectus to the form printout) You will then have to submit the form along with all supporting documents to the college office within 10 days after HSSC results. You will be given a registration slip. Please save the slip and come to Hislop School of Biotechnology with the slip for further enquiries. All relevant certificates in original must be brought at the time of application. The fee in full (cash) also has to be deposited on the day of admission. Kindly ensure the presence of the candidate on the day of admission. Kindly ensure the presence of the candidate on the day of admission. Kindly ensure that the parent’s signature is there on the application form. Please keep sufficient number of photographs with you. Admissions are strictly on merit basis. After you have applied, a list of probable candidates will be put up on the School notice board and on this website. The admissions will be guided by this list.
Note: In the column “subjects offered” kindly fill Biotechnology, Chemistry, Compulsory English. Choose one subject out of the three – Biochemistry, Botany or Zoology – and fill the one chosen. Choose an additional language from Hindi, Supp. English, Marathi or Sanskrit and fill in the chosen language.

Admissions are strictly on merit basis. After you have applied, a list of probable candidates will be put up on the School notice board. The admissions will be guided by this list.

ADMISSION PROCESS BEGINS AFTER 12TH RESULTS ARE OUT. IN THE CASE OF M. SC. ADMISSION PROCESS BEGINS IMMEDIATELY AFTER NAGPUR UNIVERSITY B.SC. RESULTS ARE DECLARED.
